Lehigh Valley Scream Park features— 2026 Review
🎃 Lehigh Valley Scream Park — Orefield, PA
Overall Rating — 7.97/10
Five years later, the Fright Review Squad returned to the cornfields of Orefield, and Lehigh Valley Scream Park has been busy planting some fresh nightmares!
Since our last visit in 2021, LVSP has made noticeable improvements across its four haunted attractions. The hayride has welcomed some new scenes, Psycho Path has evolved into a much more immersive experience, and Bio-Purge continues to deliver its unique brand of interactive chaos. However, Condemned Haunted House remains the undisputed star of the show!
While some attractions still have room to grow, LVSP offers an enjoyable evening of scares, laughs, and Halloween festivities.
Entertainment Value — 8.25/10
LVSP knows how to keep the Halloween spirit alive beyond the haunted attractions! Their lively midway features massive bonfires, a DJ spinning tunes, food vendors, merchandise, and plenty of photo opportunities.
One feature we particularly appreciate is their numbered queue system for the hayride. Rather than spending the evening standing in line, guests can enjoy the midway until their group number is called. For those looking to minimize wait times, VIP admission is also available, offering priority access to the attractions.
With all four attractions combining for nearly an hour of haunt time, the $40–$55 general admission price (depending on the night attended) delivers solid bang for your buck! Each attraction offers its own flavor of fright, providing a well-rounded evening of Halloween entertainment without breaking the bank.
Bio-Purge deserves a nod for its interactive approach, particularly the decontamination sequence that continues to entertain guests despite remaining largely unchanged over the years. Just watch your backside! 💉
Costume & Makeup — 8.1/10
LVSP features a diverse collection of characters, ranging from creepy undertakers and deranged hillbillies to sinister clowns, military personnel, and all sorts of twisted inhabitants lurking throughout the attractions.
The costuming generally complements the environments well, helping bring each attraction’s theme to life. We particularly enjoyed the eerie simplicity of the western undertakers, proving that a character doesn’t always need an elaborate appearance to make a lasting impression.
Cast & Crew — 7.8/10
The cast delivered a mixture of performances, with some actors demonstrating excellent character work and improvisational skills, while others could benefit from stronger dialogue and engagement.
Standouts included the eerily composed undertakers on the hayride, the absolutely unhinged priest inside Condemned, and several energetic performers throughout Psycho Path and Bio-Purge.
Psycho Path also delivered one of the evening’s most bizarre interactions when a performer hammered two enormous nails into his nostrils before inviting one of our brave squad members to pull one out. Talk about a hands-on experience!
One thing we appreciated was the cast’s ability to turn missed scares into laughs. Sometimes, when you can’t get a scream, a good laugh is the next best thing! We’d love to see LVSP continue developing more larger-than-life characters and memorable skits that guests will still be talking about years later.
Set Design & Special Effects — 8.2/10
Condemned Haunted House is where LVSP truly flexes its creative muscles!
This attraction is a sensory mind-bender, featuring squishy flooring, shifting surfaces, dramatically slanted hallways, and cramped attic passages that have you questioning your own balance. Even when the floor is perfectly level, you’ll swear the entire building is moving!
The blackout section features an especially bizarre contraption that seemingly locks your head into position as you navigate through it. It’s wonderfully disorienting and unlike many traditional haunted house effects.
Elsewhere, Psycho Path has undergone some impressive development since 2021. What was once a relatively straightforward stroll through the corn has transformed into a more immersive experience, with developed scenes scattered throughout the stalks.
The hayride’s western town, upgraded clown sequence, and post-apocalyptic additions also demonstrate welcome investment. The western scene was particularly atmospheric, while the clowns’ synchronized lighting and audio delivered an exhilarating burst of energy!
Fright & Thrill Factor — 7.5/10
LVSP delivers a combination of traditional jump scares, unsettling atmospheres, interactive encounters, and physical disorientation.
Some of the most effective moments were surprisingly simple. A group of children standing motionless among the corn created an incredibly creepy visual, proving that sometimes less really is more! Meanwhile, Condemned’s warped architecture, claustrophobic passages, and disorienting effects kept us second-guessing every step.
The hayride’s western scene also delivered a well-timed, high-pitched surprise just when we thought the encounter was over.
Bio-Purge brings a different flavor of excitement through its interactive, military-inspired experience, although a greater sense of urgency and intimidation could really crank up the adrenaline.
While the scares weren’t always consistent, there were enough clever moments and unexpected surprises to keep our squad entertained.
🌟 Fright Night MVPs
The Western Undertakers — Hollow of Horror Hayride: Their silent, unbothered demeanor while measuring guests for caskets was delightfully unsettling. Sometimes saying nothing makes the biggest statement!
The Unhinged Priest — Condemned Haunted House: An absolute whirlwind of holy gibberish and frantic religious ramblings. His wild performance was one of the evening’s most memorable encounters!
The Greenhouse Crew — Psycho Path: Energetic, engaging, and quick with the improv, especially when showing off their rather questionable dangling catch!
The Doctor — Operation Bio-Purge: Excellent personalized interactions that made each small group feel like part of the experiment.
🔪 Sharpening the Scare
Keep breathing new life into the hayride! The western town, clown sequence, and post-apocalyptic additions are welcome improvements, but some older sections feel dated. Continue developing fresh skits, expanding existing scenes, and consider enclosed barn sequences to create more immersive, secluded scares.
Focus on memorable characters and stronger improv. There’s talent among the cast, but performances could be more consistent. Give standout actors opportunities for elaborate, over-the-top routines that guests will remember for years!
Improve hayride dialogue projection. Microphones for key performers could help guests on both sides of the wagon hear and appreciate the scenes.
Keep expanding Psycho Path. The cornfield improvements are impressive! Continue incorporating developed scenes alongside simple, unsettling encounters like the silent children lurking among the stalks.
Refine VIP queue logistics. Priority access is appreciated, but merging queues can diminish its effectiveness. A dedicated VIP line at Psycho Path could help prevent confusion and improve guest flow.
Crank up Bio-Purge’s intensity. Stronger military-style urgency, commanding performances, and heightened intimidation could transform the experience into a more adrenaline-fueled nightmare.
Take Condemned’s blackout maze further. Consider expanding it into a longer, darker, more disorienting sequence with twisting pathways, intensified audio, and strategically placed actors.
Capitalize on additional scare opportunities. The hayride’s Michael Myers-themed entrance practically begs for a surprise character or mannequin scare! Bringing roaming actors back into the midway could also create spontaneous scares and entertainment between attractions.
🎃 Final Thoughts
Lehigh Valley Scream Park has made meaningful strides since our previous visit, and we enjoyed seeing the continued investment in its attractions. Condemned Haunted House remains the shining star, while Psycho Path’s transformation deserves some serious recognition.
There’s still room to elevate the hayride and sharpen the overall intensity, but the foundation for a fantastic haunt experience is certainly here!
A special thank-you to Buddy and Cheree, who are always so welcoming to our crew. It’s a pleasure catching up with them and seeing their continued passion for Halloween entertainment. Until next time, keep those screams coming! 👻
