One of Pennsylvania’s NEWEST Haunted Attractions, Imaginarium Sanitarium, will be opening their doors for the first time this Fall. Located at the old Cresson Sanitorium & Prison, you couldn’t ask for a more unnerving location for a Haunted Attraction! What began as the Cresson Tuberculosis Sanitorium in 1913, eventually morphed into the Cresson - State Correctional Institution in 1987! The Cresson Tuberculosis Sanitorium treated over 40,000 patients during their 51 years of operation. Rumor has it the Cresson - State Correctional Institute, a medium security correctional institute for male inmates, housed some of the area's most notorious prisoners until closing its doors in 2013. With over 100+ years of history, this property has lots of documented paranormal activity! Imaginarium Sanitarium will take haunt goers on a ¼ mile adventure through 3 floors of darkness & terror. Be prepared to encounter 25+ live actors, startling special effects, animatronics, & handmade props! While not targeting to be the scariest Haunted Attraction, Imaginarium Sanitarium is certainly aiming to provide their fair share of spine-chilling startles. Mark your calendars NOW, as Imaginarium Sanitarium will be operating Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays beginning September 30th through October 31st.
